Brand New Multimedia Computers Canberra
The Aussie PC Fix range of Multimedia Computers are a great balance of components built to handle all usual computing needs as well as more demanding tasks such as video and photo editing. It will fly through activities like browsing the Internet, email, word processing and casual gaming.
Our multimedia computers also include a quiet, high quality power supply with 3-5 year warranty.
The included processor is the highly recommended performance Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, or this can easily be upgraded to a Core 2 Quad CPU if you use programs that can take advantage of four cores, such as some video/audio/photo editing/processing applicatiions and other specialised programs.
Recommended motherboards are from Gigabyte and include onboard video/graphics card so no dedicated video card is needed, but can be upgraded with a PCI-E graphics card in the future if required. Asus motherboards are also popular, contact us if you would like a different brand or model of motherboard.
The Multimedia Computers also include high quality video DVI-D and HDMI outputs for a better image quality on a LCD monitor or even to a High Definition television. We recommend at least a Core 2 Duo CPU such as E8400 for full 1080 'HD video' playback, which is included in these configurations. They also has 1394 Firewire and eSATA ports - serial or parallel legacy ports can also be added if required.
Also included in the computer is 2GB of RAM/memory and a 500GB hard drive to store your data, but these are easily upgraded if required - just as any other part can be customised to build your ideal computer.
Our Canberra computers come completely assembled and tested with one year warranty, all inside a standard midi-tower case with DVD burner. All computer cases come with front headphone/microphone ports and 2 front USB ports. There are usually 4-8 USB ports at the rear, depending on the model of motherboard.

After you have chosen your computer configuration from the categories above, along with any upgrades, all you need to do to make a complete computer system is to choose which version of Windows that you would like to use, as well as a screen/monitor for viewing if you need a new one or would like to upgrade to a widescreen LCD.
Many users still prefer to use Windows XP, which we still have available until stocks run out. Otherwise you can choose from several editions of Vista - the Home Premium and Ultimate editions are most popular.
All new computer screens are now LCD, with 22" & 24" now the best size for value for money - or choose a 19" if this is too large for your work area. Otherwise you may choose a free used 17" CRT (box-like) monitor if we have any in stock - free with any new or used computer sold!
